Every Friday we will be hosting a free ALteRed ARt 101 gathering. You might say... "What is Altered Art?" Well...Altered Art is the current term used to refer to creative work that doesn't fit into traditional fine art modes. Altered Art is not a new form of art. Artists have been altering art both intentionally and unintentionally for centuries. Some of the earlier terms you may be familiar with collage, assemblage, mixed media art, recycled art, found object art, & even junk art.
Let's get together and create! Altered Art is made using many materials and tools you already have or will be able to find easily and affordably. Some fun places to "shop" are your your kitchen junk drawer and those boxes of old magazines... This is all about putting found and created images, objects & ideas together in new creative ways. This class is FREE please bring odds & end to work with and we will have some supplies available here. When we come together to create who knows what magical things might come to be!!!
