Metal Kings speaks to us of co-dependency. This has come up a lot in the past couple of weeks. Codependency is a tendency to behave in overly passive or excessively caretaking ways that negatively impact one's relationships and quality of life. It often involves putting one's needs at a lower priority than others while being excessively preoccupied with the needs of others.

While it is good to be a caring and loving person it is also important to set good boundaries that honor our commitment to care for our selves. Metal King has come up this week to remind us of that balance.

This card speaks to us of the importance of action. Our words are little compared with our actions and what they can bring to our physical realities. Take action now, don't delay. My Grandfather always said "It is good to sweep off your porch each morning, it allows new blessings to come to your front door." Find a space to clear for that blessing to enter your own home and your life.

I have to giggle as we pull the squirrel totem for this month. Squirrel is a good helper to have as we scurry and prepare for the holiday seasons. Gathering for Yule logs and Christmas wreaths, presents and baking supplies... squirrel can help us find that perfect item for each project. For those heading out to the Covered Bridge Festival this weekend, bring that squirrel medicine with you!
